The Jardine Academy is a NJ approved private school that provides a medically supportive, educational program for children aged 3-21 with severe multiple disabilities. Accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, The Jardine Academy is committed to providing the best practices in the field of special education. The Academy provides a highly structured curriculum that provides instruction in Essential Life Skills and is aligned with the NJ Core Curriculum Standards. Support and related services at the school enable students to fully participate in the education process. Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists, Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists work collaboratively with the classroom team and family to design the child’s individualized education plan (IEP). At The Jardine Academy, individualized evaluations and programs may include: Augmentative and Alternative Communication strategies, Mobility Instructions and Assistive Technology. Consultation Services include; Feeding and Swallowing, Neurology and Physiatry. At the Academy, all staff both professional and paraprofessional, are certified MOVE (Mobility Opportunities via Education) providers.
