My Cute Bag, Inc, is an independent handbag and accessories label founded in 2004 and sells to stores and individuals worldwide. But now, you can enjoy their 1800-square foot studio where kids can experience what it’s like to be a “Designer For A Day.” My Cute Bag “Designer For A Day Soirees” are approximately two hours long and give kids the chance to go behind the scenes at a real handbag and accessories design studio, go through the design process, and end up with a completed handbag with their own personal touches. These soirees are a unique and fun way to celebrate your daughter’s next birthday. Children ages 7 and up in groups of 10-20 can be accommodated. Designer For A Day Soirees gives kids the chance to see that everything starts in their imagination. They can be and do anything they want and it’s the act of expressing their ideas on paper and then in true form that brings ideas to fruition. Kids will create inspiration boards, draw the handbag of their choice, select from My Cute Bag’s vast array of fabrics and trims, embellish their bag and finally, depending on their age, they’ll do a little hand sewing and/or the My Cute Bag Design Team will put the finishing touches on using a sewing machine. Every child leaves with a finished handbag. To celebrate their “collection,” light refreshments are served followed by an informal fashion show to exhibit their new creations! Soirees take place on Saturdays from 10:30am-12:30pm, 1:30-3:30pm or 4:30-6:30pm. Requests for other days and times can be considered.
