In addition, Sharon’s Studio of Dance is gearing up to provide another year of excellence in dance instruction. Since opening in 1975 the goal of the school is to inspire youth through the performing arts with the knowledge to succeed on stage and in everyday life. Sharon’s provides families with the ultimate in customer care. The school has a highly qualified staff students can relate to, with degrees in dance as well as members of national dance organizations. School director Sharon believes that there are two parts to learning dance successfully; highly qualified instructors and a good relationship between the student and teacher so the dance knowledge can be passed on. The students self esteem is a top priority. Dance instruction is offered for Boys and Girls ages 1 ½ through adults. All the major styles of dance are offered, including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Break, Acrobatics, Lyrical, Cheer and Irish Step. Tumbling Tots is offered for boys and girls ages 1 ½-2 ½ years and Dance with Mom for ages 2-4. Both classes require an adult and provide an opportunity for parent, grandparent or caregiver to bond through singing, movement and the use of age appropriate props which will help in developing creativity and coordination. “Sharon’s Starlites,” is for the student who enjoys performing in more then just the year-end shows. Boys and girls perform regularly at Great Adventure, Assisted Living and Nursing Homes in the area, Somerset Patriots, Hanover Township Day and other local events. Performing gives the student a goal and incentive to do their best. It also provides an opportunity for self-growth and self confidence. They are known for “Hassle free Recitals.” To make the experience of the recital professional, easy and delightful, Students receive a free practice CD of their recital music, two free tickets and a free DVD of the show as well as free alterations on their costumes!
