Located on the corner of Madison and Washington Avenues in Dumont, Making Chocolate has a party room large enough to accommodate as many as 30 children. Their all-inclusive parties include invitations, fudge cones, drink, a tray of chocolate with the child's name, age and chocolates that the children will make and take home. Favors include the mold that each party guest picks, 1/2 pound of chocolate, and candies that the children will make. Parties are held on weekdays after school, starting at 3:30 - 4pm and on Saturdays at 11am and 2pm. Scout programs are also available on weekdays and Saturdays. All parties last approximately 1½ hours for 15 kids. Parties are appropriate for as few as 10 to as many as 30 children ages 4 and up. Moms and dads are welcome to relax while the party is in progress, as two helpful staff members continuously assist your young party guests while the festivities are in motion. Your child's name will hang in the window for the day in honor of his or her birthday and gifts are packaged for you to take home. Just bring your camera and have fun!
